Intermediate level is for more advanced players. At this level a 12″ fastpitch softball is used and players will encounter whip or windmill style pitching. Regular international softball rules apply to this level with stealing, bunting, running on a dropped third strike and more. We continue to focus on skill development and sportsmanship. All registered participants will be insured under Softball New Brunswick.
Schedule
Girls in this program will play twice a week with either 1 scheduled game and 1 dedicated practice or 2 scheduled games. A special “Day Of Champions” takes place the first Saturday after the long week-end in September will all teams participating, a BBQ for the players and special awards for Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player and Most Dedicated Player.
Equipment
A properly fitted softball glove, helmet will be needed to play. Cleats and ball pants are suggested but not mandatory. Bats will be provided.
